Gurdwara Bhat Sikh Council UK is an organisation independent of any political or cultural influence or bias but dedicated solely to promote the universal message of ‘One God’ and ‘Equality’ among all people through the teachings of ‘Guru Nanak to Guru Granth Sahib.
On the auspicious occasion of 550th Gurpurab (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, we are pleased to inform you that, with the grace of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the blessings of Baba Changa Bhat Rai Ji, our own organisation “GBSC UK – Gurdwara Bhat Sikh Council UK” has been formed/organised with the great efforts of UK wide “Bhat Sikh Sangat”.
It was a long awaited need of the Bhat Sikh Sangat to have a organisation where all Bhat Sikh Sangat of UK can come together and have a single voice. To take pride and celebrate the achievements of the Bhat Sikh Sangat in UK, and to enhance the image of the community, we have a requirement to discuss and collectively resolve issues/barriers we face as a Community or entire Sikh Panth, particularly in the UK.
Over the past year delegations from almost all Bhat Sikh Gurdwaras in UK have met at Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara in Birmingham, where several meetings were held over the time. Although it has taken time, it was important to lay down the correct foundations for this organisation. Sadh Sangat Ji, there is a lot work to be done and continuous improvement is required to ensure that GBSC UK can achieve its objective of uniting the Bhat Sikh Sangat in UK, so we can build a better future for our Community and passover our good cultural traditions and religious obligations to future generations.
We humbly request that you contact us with any suggestions or issues you believe GBSC UK should raise awareness. Your views and opinion matters and is essential for the development of this organisation. You may contact the GBSC UK via your local Bhat Sikh Gurdwara representatives or by emailing us directly on GBSC UK contact below. Guru Panth de das, Sevadars GBSC UK working committee.
Following the extensive devastation caused by the heavy rains and flooding in Jul-Aug 2023, in India & especially Punjab, GBSC UK launched an appeal in support of the flood affected areas and Families.
We make this humble appeal to all Guru Ghars and the wider sangat to support us and help this cause.🙏 GBSC UK, Working Committee
